Starlight officially kicked off on Friday the 15th, and with it came a bunch of adventurer-run events to celebrate the season! But first, everyone had to visit Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania to get their new Unorthodox Saint’s outfits!

Friday, December 15 was full of events to ring in the season. I briefly visited the Winter Market held by the Eorzean Event Comission at the Observatorium south of Camp Dragonhead. There, a festive band played while several venues peddled their wares.

I ran into Rayne Droppe, who served up some tasy eggnog, and also works now as an interior decorator! I also saw my friend Juna! Myself and the rest of the Chobettes played at a venue event she hosted not so long ago!

Meanwhile, Ruckus Fiddlesticks peddled “artisinal Dravanian cheeses” above the tavern by the settlement’s west gate.

Later that evening, I visited the Aftcastle at Jenova’s Limsa Lominsa for one of the biggest events I’ve seen in Eorzea, a gift giveaway organized by the Free Company The Black Waltz. The line there was incredibly long!

While they had a bard performing up near the big Starlight tree where gifts were handed out, I noticed the line getting longer and longer, and randomly decided to call in the rest of the Chobettes to help me perform near the aetheryte.

The vibe of playing Starlight music while adventurers waited in a cold wintry line was unlike anything I’ve experienced in Eorzea before. It was an amazing time, and I hope everyone there enjoyed our holiday music!
