If you’ve already upgraded all your gear and you have a pile of tomestones just existing in your pocket waiting to be spent, you actually have a few options so they don’t go to waste!

One of the things I like to do is visit my friend Hismena at Rowena’s Center for Cultural Promotion in Idyllshire. She sells a number of items you might need for special weapons, but some of those same items can also be traded in to the merchant right next to her, Bertana!

Speak to Hismena about Special Arms, for example, and you can exchange Tomestones of Poetics for Unidentifiable Ore. You can then speak to Bertana about Uncanny Knickknacks and exchange those ores for bags of Grade 3 Thanalan Topsoil. This is great for crossbreeding seeds in your garden, but topsoil also sells regularly on the market!

Similarly, you can exchange Tomestones of Causality with Cihanti in Radz-At-Han for a variety of crafting materials. They might not be as valuable as they used to be, but adventurers are still buying them up daily.

Don’t forget! You can also buy gear from Tomestone merchants, and then turn that gear into your Grand Company for seals! It’s a quick way to help out your Free Company, or pick up glamour prisms, ventures, and other things!
