Many citizens of Gridania once relied upon a Miqo’te fortune teller by the name of Waja Vula. In particular, she was revered and respected for her uncanny ability to predict the weather, and rose to fame when she correctly predicted a sudden and unexpected rainstorm that left the Black Shroud’s residents scrambling for cover. But despite her reputation, Waja’s later forecasts proved largely inaccurate, leaving her in a state of despair. Her popularity waned, as did the number of those who followed her.

In a twist of fate, however, Waja had one last vision: Dalamud, the moon that hung above Eorzea, was going to fall from the sky. No one believed her at first, but as the end approached, Waja’s vision became a reality. Dalamud came crashing down, causing havoc and destruction across the realm in what would become known as the Seventh Umbral Calamity, and Waja’s name was redeemed in the eyes of her followers.

Waja, young and idealistic, had always been drawn to the stars and their rhythms. She spent countless hours studying the constellations and their movements with a keen eye, eagerly seeking out patterns and clues that could reveal fate itself. Fiercely dedicated to her craft, she believed that the universe held secrets only those with a discerning eye could unlock. It was this unwavering belief that led her to discern the looming threat of Dalamud’s fall, despite the skepticism of her peers and the ridicule of those who had lost faith in her abilities.

After the Calamity, Waja was never seen again, and her whereabouts remain a mystery even today. But her story is a testament to the importance of believing in yourself, no matter how dire the circumstances may seem.
