“The sweet-smelling bark of the cinnamon tree is often dried and ground into a spice used to add flavor to confectionaries, though it is also commonly used in medicines.” - Level 5 Botanist Nodes - Treespeak, North Shroud

Bright Blessings, wayward soul! Have you come to spice things up?

When it comes to ancient spices, few can lay claim to go as far back as cinnamon. Some associated it with later seasons such as autumn or fall, but really it is effective year-round when dried properly. And its magical properties are just as versatile as its times for use.

Spices!

Cinnamon is most commonly used in spells and incantations as a powder. Some find it best when blown into doors to attract good news. Others find burning it can clear out negative energy or even improve intuition. Tying sticks together and hanging them can also be a more passive way to achieve the former’s protection, should you find yourself without the time to carry out a burning ritual so frequently.

As a remedy, the antiseptic properties of cinnamon can help with oral hygiene and other sores, though it may serve better culinary with milk and honey as a treat that aids an upset stomach. When added to tea, it can promote one’s health so use it often as you like in the kitchen!

Cooking!

Additionally, cinnamon oil has a few helpful uses! Some love potions can be enhanced with additional steps like writing the intended target’s name in cinnamon oil. Added to a diffuser, the oil can create a calming sense in a room. When on the go, adding a few drops of the oil onto your purse may increase the potency of attracting success while also acting as a mobile shield against bad spiritual energy.

Cinnamon is fairly abundant and common, but do not let that fool you into thinking it is not important! It has a great power to it, particularly in conjunction with other ingredients. While different combinations of materials may result in different results, typically cinnamon works to increase potency, both in spells and cooking or baking.
